His cells being overloaded with gamma rays==him being drained of solar energy IYO?

Surely do, as solar energy revived him and as much as he got solar power he started looking better. If there was solar energy in his cells he wouldn't have looked that way as shown when the ray of light hits his hand and he immediately looks better.

Lol, so going by this logic, if I am poisoned then that means all the WBCs in my bloodstream get drained out?

Or the more logical conclusion would be that the radiation's poisonous nature weakened him.

You could take it any way, its still clear that this isn't simple "Superman can't tank a nuke without nearly dying LOL". We can be sure that diana can't survive a nuke though.

Not due to straight up durability reason, the nuclear radiation obviously drained his solar recharge+the already severe beating from Zod last issue seriously lowered his solar recharges to the point he could barely move. Nice try though.
