I don't really care about the spats this thread has caused, but it has horribly lowered the bar for ownage. That pic isn't even remotely funny, and parsing caption bubbles from 40 years ago for a lowball feat is depressing if that's the standard here. See, again, a few punches get thrown and yes, he gets his bell rung. But how is this different than the 1000 other times when Supes does a "Halt, villain! Or I shall hit thee with half-powered attacks until my inevitable victory in Round 2" routine? I get it; half the people in this thread have an agenda. But this isn't ownage. This is posting anything we can get our hands on and finding an angle.

That was ownage Digi...not an agenda. Grundy clearly had the advantage, to the point that Superman asked Alan to give him some time to recuperate.

That was a temporary advantage. Ownage is, "HOLY ****, LOOK WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO THIS GUY!" If that's ownage, half the fights in comics are ownage, which makes it a worthless term.

I'm not upset, and I'm not pulling a mod card here. I just want to make this thread decent again. You know, actual ownage and the occasional new fight from the most recent week's comics. If we banned Thor, Superman, Hulk, and whoever else produces all the sh*t, this thread would be 100x better. As it is, I have to read every scan of any of them having a below average showing, followed by two pages on missing context and lowballing. Step outside the bubble for a bit...it's much better.
So challenge yourself. The next thing you post in here, make it one where somebody gets the everlovin' **** beat out of them.

I doubt it. But it's been years since I put together the KP respect thread, which is where that scan got unearthed, so I don't really remember.
But that's not really the point. This panel is just hilarious in its ownage. The fight is ancillary; and for what it's worth, given the era it's from, KP probably won or only lost with PIS. He owned the sh*t out of Spidey for decades before he got his stealth depowerment in the 90s.
