So Superman managed to take a breath but was still choking? Lol.

He was frozen, but he lost consciousness and was dying because he needs to breath. This was written by Roger Stern right?

In the story arc where Hulk was pardoned and the Avengers went to space, he had Thor note how he holds his breath in space. While he was in space unharmed.

I mean, this is just a question of common sense at this point.

So right off the bat J'onn's done and John adds insult to injury with the "I kind'o doubt that." line.

What's makes this even better is due to his cocky arrogance an entire planet was destroyed and flung itself into the sun an all the planets inhabitants die with it xD

Yeah, it was written by Stern. Its not like writers fluctuate characters in power level or something.
