I get you're to stubborn to admit you were wrong but Spider-man already has more crazy high end durability feats than you can count, I don't need another one. Was just trying to understand whether you were trolling or honestly are incapable of understanding what's written and drawn in a comic page. A bit of both I guess.
Curious had he used it point blank on Spiderman and not the opposite direction. What would have happened to Pete?
Do you really think he's going to as you call it tank it. You are incapable of understanding that Spiderman can't tank it. Since he did not tank it. The art work and everything shows the opposite of what you are actually saying.
Surviving a explosion that you are not really in and going the opposite direction. Sure. Many comic characters do such. As I even gave an example of one.
But your original statements are very misleading. And the fact that you changed it to just surviving it. Sure. There are debris that also survived it. But I doubt if the gun was pointed at a particular debris, it can "actually" tank it.
But keep on pretending that Spiderman can really tank such a thing.

The explosion wasn't "going" anywhere, it is shown covering hundreds of feet in radius and they were within that radius, so yeah it did hit them both and they both survived, it's pointless arguing that at this point.
As for what "should have happened in my opinion" is a completely different subject. Never in a wildest dream would I suggest that Spider-man should tank a diect hit from the UN aimed at him, and I never ever suggested that! Heck I don't think he should've tanked the explosion even. So your accusations are pointless. Please this time read what I'm about to say - I do not belive that it is an average showing for him. But what I believe is not the point and was NEVER the subject of our discussion. The point is - we are both looking at the same scans yet somehow seeing different things. I see a huge explosion that Pete and Ben were clearly cought in and I see them walking away from it. Because that's what is SHOWN in the scans, NOT because I want Pete to be indestructible and I know he is not. Was the feat PIS? Fine. Bad writing? Fine. But that is whats shown on the stupid page. So what I did is state the fact - in this book they survived the explosion. While you try to find some magical explanation that just isn't there and continue to accuse me of trying to hype Spider-man. When all I did was state what I and everyone see in the book. So if I break down our discussion it'd look like this:
Me: Look, they survived that big explosion.
You: No they didn't because they shouldn't.
Me: Ok But they did here, look at the scans.
You: Nope. It doesn't make sense.
Me: I know, but it still happened in this particular book. Even if it shouldn't have, here it did.
You: Nuh-uh.
See the problem here?

The problem is they were not actually "in" the explosion. Despite it being a big explosion. They were not in it.
It went the opposite direction as depicted in the scene Sam.
They were not in the cloud were the explosion took place as again depicted in the scene Sam.
They survived it buy yeah even Batman could survive that in that type of "manner".
This is actually being in the explosion and being depicted in it.
See the problem is your understanding of it IMHO. But keep on pretending Spidey tanked it. Here Cap "actually" tanks it unlike the one you are desperately reaching for a tank feat.
The actual explosion was the same position were Steve was actually at. Not "another" direction.
Second Steve was shown inside the left over energies of the explosion. This is a portrayal of a tanking of a explosion. Spiderman on the one you are using. "Not" so much.
