It's a strength amp, sure, but on a more general level it's not Superman being amped.
When you say "amped Superman" you don't think of him as being turned in to Doomsday; you think of him sundipped etc.
I know it's semantics, i'm just wary of certain people in this thread throwing around the term like its the same thing as him with all of his faculties but stronger.
