I'm torn. On the one hand, that performance (albeit a brief one) is the stuff of wet dreams for me. And truth be told, -like bran alluded to- a full Nova Force holder should be very capable of that
On the flipside, Thanos proper should be fully capable of exploding Richard's head at will. Also, DnA's Nova is the standard bearer IMO and It's not likely that they'd write Richie as being able to hurt Thanos even a little bit.
Lastly, it's Bendis. His cosmic shit is barely even canon as far as I'm concerned. Its more like, canon-ish.
Writers are inconsistent. Thor couldn't move Thanos out of his spot but we have Nova Prime blitzing him into a mountain and blasting him with an attack that kept Thanos down for a bit but yet, again, Thor couldn't move him out of his spot (and let's not forget he tanked Thor lightning attack).

Honestly, we haven't seen a bloodlusted, all out Nova but only once before this and he performed well. Don't see it as something that's bad for Thanos, I just see it as something we can add to Richie track record as a display of power when he use the Nova Force.

Not a bad showing for nova, but Thanos was hit with Cosmic Cube multiple times early in that fight.

He was punched in the face by it and then blasted by it and got up with a smile saying "you don't know how to use the cube". Pretty sure he wasn't damaged. At all. Nova just had an amazing showing. Then, the cube is near depleted. Almost drained...and this was before the Thanos attacks in the Nova comic.
