Lol, it just clicked. Sorry, it's still early--haven't even had my second cup of coffee yet.

Makes sense. Why was he exhausted?

The previous issue he directed his power towards the attempt to cure Banner. This issue follows directly on from that.

Cheers.

White Lanterns = Good, Black Lanterns = Evil. Kind of racist. They should make brown Lanterns...

Curious to see what this evolves into:

Multiversal repercussions seem imminent.

Hulk vs. a city-sized Man-Thing analogue, spliced with his own DNA:

Strong week for Hulk.

He also apparently (off-panel) owned MODOK and SHIELD after the A-Bomb fight too.

Crappy dialogue in Hulk #6 though, and a pretty underwhelming fight. Better than Waid's stuff, but definitely still a lot of room for improvement.

Cheers.

I don't quite understand this.

Last I'd read of Charles Xavier, Cyclops, driven mad by Phoenix ... had killed his mentor ... ?

Was this undone somehow?

Is this an alternate reality story or actual, current mainstream?

It is in the 616 universe. What happened here was that after Exitar was carried off the Red Skull slowly gained further control of his powers from Professor Xavier's brain.

So he's not alive as such just his last collection of thoughts assembled into a figure which is trying to prevent the Red Skull from becoming Onslaught I guess, but we all know how this turns out.

Chuck was killed. Red Skull then hijacked his corpse, took his brain, and melded it into his own. This gave RS vast TP.

This is a mainstream story, which leads into the upcoming event "AXIS".

He's always been the smartest one, that's why he's Hulk and not elasto-man or man-in-a-can or harry potter snr.
