We have to remember two things:
A: they are fictional. Tomorrow, if Marvel decides that Hawkeye can take Thanos out, then Hawkeye WILL take Thanos out.
B: all decisions (or, at least, most) have to go through the editors. If the various writers are submitting their storylines to the editors, and they are having...I dunno, an 'off-Thanos' day, then Thanos will have an off day. But they have the final say.
Know this isn't meant for this thread but I don't think anyone here said Hulk will beat him. I also don't think anyone said his stock has fallen but Marvel does need to calm down with his appearances though. On one hand we have being like Thor not being able to harm him with lightning. On the other we have Nova nearly dropping him with a face blast and then, the last comic, had him screaming out in pain as well. Then the dialog said that Drax almost took Thanos head off with that hammer strike, forgetting that not to long ago, Thanos withstood an attack from Thor, someone who is above Drax in every way possible. The inconsistency is terrible but Thanos stock is still the same, whatever that is and I don't think anyone has said anything different.

I agree with DS, Thanos is heraldish these days... Maybe a little lower, even. 👆Hulk will look like a total dick if he beats him now, as it's basically the same thing as picking on a handicap kid. Poor Thanos... Hopefully some part of his integrity can be salvaged. 🙁
There are 2 people posting here that I've had problems with in the past over arguing and spamming the owngage thread. If you can't take seeing your favorite character getting owned then don't read this thread. This isn't the place for arguing, debating, making excuses, whining, b*tching, complaining, crying, raging, etc. about a character getting owned. I have better things to do than respond to reports about grown men acting like 6 year old brats because a fictional comic character they dote on gets owned. My next step is deleting posts and temp bans.
