I guess is safe to say now that Bats with an armor > the justice league.

AXIS (continued):

Bar some odd stuff like Kluh I have actually enjoyed AXIS.

The finale is looking special. I wonder if it will be double size.

I was hoping for Sentry to make an appearance since Apoc wanted to destroy humans but I guess it would have been too clogged up otherwise. Overall enjoyed AXIS.

Actually apoc not getting one-shot by the axe is a feat unto itself. It's a celestial buster, the same celestial energy that drives him.

AXIS:

Kinda reminds me of B&T Thor, but without Mjolnir. 🙁

Yup. He got owned, but at least he wasn't cleaved in half with the first swing.

Well holly $&!# didn't see that coming. I hope Spidey's lied about the memorial.

Carnage is on the last cover of AXIS #9 so he may not have died.

Thor wrecking shop was pretty cool to watch. They kept stepping up, and he was like "take a number, b*tches."

Well, obviously he lied but I hope they actually have him at least attempt to get it made. That'd be funny.

1. ... why would [Enchantress's] spoken words be in Asgardian English if her thought process isn't?

2. Why would her thoughts be subverted/disguised but not her actual spoken words?

3. Masterson spoke in modern English. Blake and Masterson were 2 people in one body, so their human aspect thought in modern speech but Thor spoke as an Asgardian since he was one. That's not what's happening with She-Thor.

The scan I posted hinted at, but did not show, just how complete the subversion was, the length to which Circe actually went to make the deception work, or why it failed. Here, let this 2nd scan explain that:

Why would Spider-Man lie?

I don't "know for certain," but it's unlikely for the reasons I stated.

I understand what you were getting at. The problem with this is that, if Enchantress did forget she was the Enchantress, then she wouldn't speak as an Asgardian, at all.

Nothing you've said so far precludes what I've proposed.

If Enchantress forgot she was the Enchantress, but spent weeks upon weeks as a mortal in civilian disguise, then she would think in Modern English.
As she apparently DOES.

However, as a mortal found worthy of wielding Mjolnir, she would now have the power of Thor, or whatever Mjolnir grants to its wielder.

There's nothing preventing more power being added to her own, is there?
Recall now that even Superman and Wonder Woman had the power of Thor ADDED to their own when they wielded his hammer -- their own powers were not replaced, but supplemented.

Incidentally, this is another reason why I parallel this to the case of Circe.
Circe not only became Donna Milton, she later added Diana's own power to her own AND adopted the identity of Wonder Woman!

If Enchantress is indeed who we are seeing as Lady Thor right now, it would be an almost perfect parallel case.

Even if (actually, ESPECIALLY if) she forgot who she "really" was to begin with:

Don't think that was a bad showing for Apocalypse. He got snuck attacked and damaged by a weapon that kills Celestials. Then proceeded at getting hit by said attack. If the fight was without the ax, it would have been more accurate, but...

The rest the rest of the Thor ownage was magnificent. I think he needs to stay away from Mjlonir.

Considering the fact that Bats took down the Justice League in his own book and now Darkseid, it's safe to say that with prep, Bats is between Trans and Skyfather. 😄

Darkseid is above Skyfather and is somwhere between Post sKyfather, and Pre Abstract. His showings against the Anti-Monitor will cement the new Darkseid either in high abstract, or below abstract but above high skyfather.

Batman with the hell bat suit has demonstrated that he is able to achieve High Sky Father levels of power at the very minimum, his fight with Darkseid is very similar to Thanos' fight against Odin. The only difference is that Thanos demonstrated he was a Trans fighter, that is able to hold his own temporarily against a high skyfather. Batman demonstrated he is able to become a high skyfather that is able to momentarily hold his own against a Post Skyfather/Low Abstract character.

Interesting enough, Batman had not a prayer to beat Darkseid, just delay the inevitable. But it was his own fault, if you depower yourself with such a week armor instead of just using the almighty batkick...

I kinda liked hero Carnage.🙂
