👆

It is. They did a good job though.

Wolverine fought fully powered Juggernaut in the actual comic. The result was pretty much the same - he can cut Cain's helmet and his costume, but not the skin.

Shatterstar incident was PIS; in the same arc, Feral of all people sliced Marko's forearm.

I wouldn't consider the Shatterstar scene as PIS. Juggernaut is vulnerable to magic and the edge of Shatter sword is dipped in it. It played more on vulnerability than anything imo.

Magic is the excuse, yes, but I doubt the writer considered it. Just wanted to do a good battle scene. The whole thing just doesn't seem right when we see Feral's organic mutant claws doing the job in the very same story.

And the magic needs to be of sufficient strength to hurt Cain. SS' swords are no Ebony Blade or anything like that.

Latina's rage = technomagical double blades

I think it was considered.

It was mentioned that Shatterstar could cut him. This scene was taken under consideration imo which explains why Cain was damaged.

We see a Dark mark on Cain arms from Feral. No telling what that was. No proof he was damaged.

Honestly, we have no idea how powerful Shatterstar blades are. What we do know is, they were forged in an unknown dimension. I think the Cain showing is the proof we need on how powerful his blades were.

😂

I guess so.

Okay, I stand corrected.

EIGHT dark marks that looked nothing like motion lines. Drawn by McFarlane, who is known for putting blood on almost every page, if possible. Terribly low showing/PIS, like WBN cutting/biting Savage Hulk, yet doing nothing to his less powerful version (Fixit).

Maybe I need to look at the Feral scene again. I'm picturing a Dark mark across his arm which could be anything. One sec. About to look.

Sure, take your time.

You're right

🙂

WAY back in the day(well before his force-field was introduced) Juggy tanked a slash-attack from Wolverine without so much as a scratch to show for it:

...Looks like the fanart took a cue from that.

He's no-sold another attack from Wolverine a few pages after that.

His forcefield was mentioned back in the original X-Men title by Stan.

Nah, Wolverine attempted to attack him a few pages later, but Juggy KO'd him with a b*tchslap before he could do anything.

You talking about UXM #12-13? If so, Juggy described it as a "force wave/aura" that he could generate from his body in order to form offensive attacks--it wasn't something that he employed defensively back then. This 'force wave' was also clearly depicted around Juggy every time he was using it. When it wasn't shown, it wasn't being used.

I seen the Feral thing as motion lines. The top of them are where she started. If they weren't there, it would just look like she was just holding on.

No. Logan did land a hit, it just didn't do anything. B*tchslap happened immediately after.

I was thinking about that time when Beast jumped on him and commented that ''he's invulnerable even without his forcefield on'' or something. It's in the revamped respect thread (posting from my obsolete phone, can't go looking atm).

I remember that's how you've seen it, Ptr. Just never looked to me that way.

Do you remember in what issue Juggernaut's protective ff appeared for the first time, btw?
