That doesn't work for making sense. I'm not trying to Carver the feat and take it away from him. I'm just saying that it's never made sense for these uber regenerators to be beat or seriously hurt by punching that appears to do no physical damage.

Especially when a punch goes straight through all his durability and one didn't. Did Superman punch his soul or something?

Is that a power now? He aimed straight for his intelligence (soul)? Superman gained the power of Hulk's ability to hit intangible forces?

Yeah, it's nonsensical in retrospect but what can you do? Comics are inconsistent that way.

Or Adam just hits like a girl.

Negatory. Adam completely bypassed his durability.

Must be soul punching.

Superman just powered through his energy blast and rocked the **** out of him in one punch.

😐

Talking about their previous showing where he dropped Superman. No one is saying Superman didn't do well during that showing but Adam had a beastly showing as well. He punched through his head. Clean through it without difficulty. Also, he was still awake from what I saw. Was Adam defeated after the beams of electricity?

😂

Yeah, let's go with that. He certainly punched Carver in his soul today.

Swamp Thing (2/2):

Swamp Thing momentarily became, and spoke with, beings whom embody the essence of story on a metaphysical/metatextual level. Very, very interesting.

Awesome.

He pulled an Ivory King, and punched him on all planes of reality 👆

I wish all comics were subject to battle board scrutiny.

Punching 101

As to the building part, was Superman struggling to lift it, or was he just saying that he couldn't stop the building from falling apart, in which strength would be irrelevant? I think the intent was that he just couldn't stop it from breaking apart. That makes much more sense, especially with what he then did to Brainiac, and the whole lifting New York thing.

Anyway, as Abhi and Galan pointed out, super awesome feats considering Brainiac owned Shazam and Black Adam and Supes was apparently weakened during this.

That's just comics. He was struggling, but he proved he had more left when the chips were down. Even though he wasn't near capacity, he just dug deep and powered through. Tanking Brainiac's blast, damaging him with a punch, then holding up the city.. Dynamic strength and all that jazz. High herald level dynamism.

Right after he was struggling with that building.

Proof that space cheese feats mean nothing. Superman has both battle and cheese feats now.

HEY, SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH!!!! 😠

Bow down to the greatness that is Superman!

It doesn't hurt that the man embiggens the word. His sole purpose in life is to carve. Whether that be arguments, scans, or even our hearts.

Carving metal in particular, as we all know it doesn't rip. A life lesson we all learned that day.

Weirdworld Variant.

1872.

So the Avengers are going to skin the LT of his golden cosmic hide?
Abstract coats for the win.
Yeah

Fang/Daken:

....When did Fang get all these wacky powers?

He might have underestimated BA's punch and got punched through, this probably made him realize what he was up against and was ready for superman.

It's like a regular human with great power becomes invulnerable.

Yeah what the hell happened to fang? Honestly this has to be one of the biggest random amps ever and no real reason for it.
