Thanks Galan. I wonder why they are treating Doomsday like that? They have done a complete change to the character. Seems like he is based mostly on infecting his opponent rather than being the physical power house he use to be. Whatever. Blame Pak for that.
Aside from that, I'm shocked abhi hasn't commented on Superman's 'moon-busting' feat in this issue:
mhmm

Yea pretty boss
Originally posted by ares834Oh I absolutely agree for the most part. Sans the "Doomed" storyline, Pak has done extremely well with AC. Huh, I'm loving his Action Comics run right now. This issue in particular was a standout.
...But "Doomed" was just laughably terrible on every conceivable level. I guess that, in addition to several of his past stories(HotM, for example), was primarily what I was referring to with that statement.

Last question Galan. Since Doomsday is primarily built (from what I've seen so far) to infect people, is he only able to do this to Kryptonians or has this not been explored yet? From what we've seen so far, Superman was infected, we seen a vision of Supergirl ripping him in half then becoming infected, then we see Bizarro punch exploding him becoming infected. Nothing outside of Kryptonians as of yet has experienced this so I'm wondering if this has been explored yet.
I don't think it's been stated that DD can *only* infect Kryptonians--that wouldn't make much sense, imo.
But remember: DD is being treated as a sentient 'virus' of sorts. With that in mind, it would make the most logical sense for this virus to attach itself to the strongest host it can find, in order to assure its survival--and it doesn't get much more powerful than a Kryptonian(which might be why the virus seems to seek them out.)

Superman was the only one who was infected by the doomsday. Supergirl getting infected was an illusion from Brainiac. This wasn't the doomsday superman fought since the infection was obliterated in the black holes superman went through. It's just a spoof on Doomed storyline.
It seems like a regular human would get infected in Doomed title written by Lobdell.

Doomsday wasn't a spoof tbh. Looked like the real deal and it infected Bizarro like the real deal. Where did you get that it was a spoof? Superman even considered it the real Doomsday. Think Galan explained it best with his post on the previous page.

A normal human would be infected in Doomed by Scott Lobdell though.

In the very first page, Superman went straight past continuity. What do you think that means? And since when Doomsday virus makes everything cuter?

I like this explanation. Let's go with it.

We weren't given a 'why' or a 'how', but Supes was definitely trasported to the Bizarro-verse in this issue:
And given that continuity evidently doesn't exist there, everything that happened for no discernible reason(DD randomly appearing, Bizarro randomly being cured of the virus, etc.) can be attributed exclusively to the Bizarro-verse's unique "don't do logical" cosmology. IMO.
