I don't think he killed it. In the page before it's lying dead and in the dialogue on the page you showed it mentions the Guardian rising.

I kind of seems that way going from the comic. I thought you was talking about your point based entirely on that one scan (apologies for that). It's kind of odd because he describes it as a member of the Paling. So who knows if he got the right tomb or not. But it seems like he might have done. Who knows.

Well, Adam was bragging about the battle/battles being won, so I guess it's safe to assume he defeated a Guardian. And the Guardian was in that tomb for a long time.
