The Ultimate Universe's popularity had already dropped significantly before Ultimatum. Loeb just put the final nail in the coffin.

Though I will say that the "Ultimate Comics" line that followed Ultimatum was really good at times... That's when Hickman introduced The Maker, for example.

Edit: Put 2nd part but it went onto next page as the editing function messed up again.

Although it's worth noting that the author said that Namor fans would be pleased with the Squadron Supreme by the end of the year (or something like that). So he may be back soon.
