The story changed slightly, doomsday was moved already didn't have the us to get to metropolis. What I don't get is, this is DOS doomsday but he was faster and was using strategy. If he was ad DOS levels, this superman had some upgrades and should have been able to handle him with ease.

Which tells you what? Per the story this is the same Doomsday, he just used strategy.
