Spawn has gotten kind of shit IMO, it had a good start at the beginning of Al's resurrection, but quickly dipped when McFarlane got hands on with the series again.

Yeah, the series started getting shittier when Al returned -- the only thing that made it somewhat fun was how damned OP he was.

Prior to that, however, the story itself was excellent(especially the artwork), and had been for some time.

I had the first 73 issues of the original Spawn. Amazing comic. Went into military and stopped comicing for awhile.

Not sure what happened but after GodSpawn rewrote everything, how is there even a new series. And now his suit doesent work? He looks retarded wearing that trench coat.
