Why can Strange be so awesome in his own series (Jason Aaron) and yet written as such a bell-end in this one? He ought to be one of the single coolest characters in the whole of comics, but most often he comes across as one-dimensional and ludicrous. He needs someone like Garth Ennis to do a Punisher on him, write a whole sequence that really gets into his character and makes it interesting. Instead we've got this load of old cobblers.

Grrrr

The reaction faces of ninjas and Danny are priceless.

They arn't crimson because Dr. Strange made a novice mistake and called upon the wrong entity to conjure the bands. It is Cyttorak, not the Vishanti, who grants the Bands -- the name of the spell should be a dead giveaway! This is also why the spell failed miserably. A while ago he did the exact same mistake, and the Bands failed that time too. He is such a noob these days...

I was afraid that the reason Thor became unworthy would be something really lame. But this is actually good. Self-doubt originating from his experiences with Gorr is certainly something I can get behind. Kudos to the writer.
