I was gonna write this as a full-fledged script, but I honestly don't know if i should or not. For me, the only way to redeem most of the X-Men would be for it to be revealed that during Messiah Complex, Cable saw the future and the terrigen bomb. That he saw all this coming and he told Cyclops.

Everything Cyclops has done since then, from forming X-Force, to developing bioweapons, hosting the Phoenix, even Colossus becoming Juggernaut, was all intended to ready the X-Men to fight for their own survival once shit hit the fan. Not that it all worked out, mind you, but I think it would explain a lot, and would help explain the frankly stupid behaviour of some of the X-Men.

That's not a bad idea. Problem is it will clear Scott but not everyone else. And then there's the professors death and all that red onslaught business.

Getting the whole trinity of replicas would be cool as I'm a big fan of the avengers trinity.

👍. As far as replicas go the helm of nabu, lion-os sword or an infinity gauntlet tops my list.

That's why I said I was gonna write it out; I have ideas for most of it, but the idea is actually not to exonerate Scott, but more to show that he did what he did out of desperation, not out of turning to the darkside.

It doesn't make him innocent, it just explains his reasoning better.

Kinda like Namor and the incursions? He did what needed to be done for the greater good kinda thing?

Don't know that arc, but yeah, the idea is that he was sacrificing the reputation of the current generation so that the next would live on. Well, mostly him, so that people like Beast etc wouldn't have their hands as dirty as he did.

He didn't anticipate himself dying, but he left what I imagined as a delayed telepathic message just in case.

I wanted his reasons to make sense, even if they don't excuse what he did.

^Thank god it's just fashion and that this interpretation of "Islam" is not political at all. #sarcasm

I edited the picture, since this isn't the thread.

But yeah, if anything, I think the brainwashing is working, which is quite astonishing and sad for the future.

edit:

haha, now you must quote me, and I'll edit this post, and the edit-war will go on forever.

Anyway, just in case people are confused, I'll post this and leave it at that:

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/766744/Swedish-minister-Ann-Linde-feminist-hijab-Iran-oppressive

Ms Linde said she did not want to violate the law in Iran where it has been mandatory for women to wear headdress since the 1979 revolution.

Amine Kakabaveh, from the Swedish Left Party, said: “Iranian women are fighting for their right not to wear the veil.

“Then feminist government representatives pop in, all veil-dressed, and instead of making a stand tells them to accept it.

"I am upset and angry. It all should have been so obvious for a feminist government, but instead it acts just like any other.”

And Liberal leader Jan Björklund, said: “The Islamic veil symbolises the oppression of women in Iran, and constitutes not only customary, but legislated oppression of women.

“It is very unfortunate that the Swedish minister chose to appear in a veil.

^You can't, for reasons unknown to me, be quoted. It's always blank. But yeah we need a topic for this.

Anyone here been reading bullseye new mini?

Yes.

I hope you're just joking.

@ Philo.

No dude, it's all in the perception.. That's more cultural, don't know how they feel oppressed.

Men wear turbans to cover their heads, are the oppressed too?
Just check out the picture you posted earlier, the Iranian dude is dressed the same way as this lady.

Nuns wear that garment by choice. They can choose not to wear it, and still be nuns.

Hijab is obligatory by law in countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia, among others. Women who chose not to do so have been killed, have had acid thrown on them, and many other punishments.

Comparing them is an ignorant insult for nuns, and you should know better. Or at least try to know better.

Guys, I'm not going to close this thread, but people are going to be banned if they keep bringing up an argument that, regardless of the side people are on, doesn't belong in here.

I've asked multiple times that it be left alone, but it keeps getting brought back up.
