Basically, yeah. But I don't see a simulation beyond its capabilities, even if the level of the opponents might not be exactly that do the dot.
Hammond is one of the top telepaths in DC -- he isn't some no-name schmuck. If that's how *he* projected the battle to go, that's how it would have gone. Imho.

Jessica holds an entire planet together. Man, Lanterns are so weak.....Right carver?
In order for a planet to come apart in such a way that the pieces don't come back together, you'd have to overcome the gravitational binding of the planet:
http://typnet.net/Essays/EarthBind.htm
In order to stop that that, you'd have to generate counter-energy to the one which is disintegrating it - so basically 2.487 x 10^32 J, or thereabouts, if we consider the planet Earth's sized for the sake of math.
This is...a ridiculous number.
For reference, the Moon's kinetic energy as it moves in the Earth's orbit is...10000 less than that.
Even if we take that number down, since it wasn't a spontaneous gravity-breaking of ALL the pieces on the planet in an escaping sphere, it's still enormous.

She not only protected and kept a planet together INSIDE a supernova, she did it at essentially half power.

Did someone say GLs are Depowered this week?
