Lizard was pretty op at one point.

Lizard is pretty slept on. Spidey almost never is able to beat him physically. Hell he's hard pressed to even hurt liz physically. Thats pretty damn tough.

Nah he always pulled punches bc it was Connors underneath. Lizard's like many Spidey foes, in that he's a threat only until Pete gets serious.

I've oscillated between favorite Spidey villains over the years. The 90s show biased me toward Fisk and Venom, but of course Osborne and Octavius have the most iconic stories.

Atleast in his early appearances Lizard was portrayed as absolutely ragdolling pete. If the argument is of Pete's powers evolving to the point of him surpassing lizard, sure...but he was a tank. I even rememver him hurting his hands on lizards hide early on

Back in the day, there was a case to make that Fisk was above Rhino in physical stats; he literally had better showings against Pete than anyone during the first decade or so of ASM. Absurd as that era was for him, I always loved it. Seeing Fisk wreck shop is delightful.
