off topic. you guys should try visiting a college campus. i currently work on NC State (go wolfpack!!) and the level of crybabyness is insane. Im doing job interviews now with some undergrads and we are finishing up the hiring process and SEVERAL potential employees ask me if their parents could help negotiate the rest. like WTF these are mid to late 20yr olds. its phucking ridiculous.

That's why they want the state to protect their feelings [i.e. free speech is bad], to recognize whatever they're feeling [i.e. non-binary] and to make it into law that to say anything else is hate speech [i.e. call me ze]. They also have a childish way of looking at the world, everybody who's against them is a villain, and they draw comparisons with fictional stories all the time. Can you blame them though?
I graduated in NYC college that is considerably cheaper than state colleges. Regardless my tuition despite working a job that paid $25 an hr was still insane. I ended being in debt at 40k after 3 years. My friends who graduated in Stony or Syracuse had debt that went as high as 110k.
You can’t expect 18’s to take this kind of debt without some help. That’s just me.

I completely understand hating the college financial situation, and why spending your life in debt [or a good portion of it] is a shitty circumstance. But that's completely unrelated to the former part of "my feelings I hurt, I identify as a non-binary woman with dick". If anything, giving the state more power is counter-intuitive, given your first interaction with it is that of a shitty parent requesting exorbitant rent to live in its house [i.e. get educated].
