What? Thor pretty much says he is not holding back and actually tries to kill him with his axe (using the edged point of the axe). This is just hilarious at this point.
Odinson is using bluster (as usual) to talk him down. He's not attempting to hurt, let alone kill the kid. With all the books some of u guys have read, not sure why it's that hard to understand.

Imagine the Thorbags saying that it can't get worse than Mjolnir & Mangog [explicitly above all of Asgard, Odin, Destroyer etc] being destroyed inside the sun. Then seeing Thor getting two-pieced by bootleg Hulk.

You guys are trying way too hard. If you actually read and understand what's going on, it'll come to u.Odinson is using bluster (as usual) to talk him down. He's not attempting to hurt, let alone kill the kid. With all the books some of u guys have read, not sure why it's that hard to understand.
This is some next level excusing.

Was using the axe as a cutting attack part of the bluster too? This is some next level excusing.
U can already see where this is heading. They're trying to un-Hulk him, but he just gets angrier and powers through it. Then the heroes will end up deciding if they truly want to take him out. Then some last minute save before things end in death maybe from Amadeus himself or some external plot device. My guess for next issue.

Good showing for Chulk I guess. He already did that in planet hulk 2 few issues back. So not surprised. But we also know Odinson was not trying to hurt him in Sakaar as well.U can already see where this is heading. They're trying to un-Hulk him, but he just gets angrier and powers through it. So Thor was holding back and not trying to kill Cho even after he was hitting him with the bladed part of the axe?
Sure thing man.

Thor even agrees that he can't win alone.
Same question:

I interpreted is as Thor and not actually wanting to kill Amadeus, setting him up for Panther and the others to take him down in a non-lethal manner. Which is why Hulk points out how he is holding back and is talking so much and Amadeus tries to convine the Hulk that they are his friends, using non-lethal methods. What is your take on this? I am attempting to be non-bias, and I know half your posts are trolling, but what is your objective take on that part of the story?
Is that an accurate interpretation based on the context of the full issue, or wishful thinking? Someone else pointed it out.
I am trying to get a non-biased opinion.
If this was like Silver Surfer, or Classic Thor, I would be more inclined to believe it, but Unworthy Odinson has been a bit of a dullard, I doubt he's that subtle.
Whether or not it's true, I don't think it matters or changes the results of the fight.

He is legitimately the smartest person on this board, bar none. And I don't mean that just as a compliment, but as a statement of veneration. I'm in actual awe of his capacity to reason and not let his emotions cloud his 4-digit intelligence.

Distasteful imo.Oh well, at least it opens the doors for Surfer always holding back.
Surfer was clearly all-out against B&T Thor. He didn't even have to say it. If you look closely at the art, you can see his board get sharper, almost dagger-like. Unluckily for him, Thor was using more than the 5% of the power he usually does, let's say 7-8%, so he tasted defeat.
Here's my take:
Odinson would have taken Hulk down if he could have. He even gave it a try. Was there hesitance on his part? Maybe still a little holding back? Yes, but it's not like Cho was aiming to smash his skull either, and any way you look at it Chulk came out looking noticeably better.
As per usual, Thor doesn't get to use his best tools, i.e., the God of Thunder doesn't use lightning. But it was an embarrassing showing pretty much anyway you look at it.
Who would have thought MCU Thor would be in so much better shape than comic book Thor.
Edit: Also the Superman Brigade is acting with the same degree of class as expected, but what can you do.

I didn't, is there added context? Ill check it out
This last attempt was using Odinson as distraction. Well first he charged Chulk to a non populated area and away from the city. Then he was buying time "talking too much" so Agents of Atlas and T'Challa can show up and shoot him with missiles to mess with his gamma energy.

Should have been pretty clear unless of course you're one of the try hards.
