He's not cool, no. But I still think he's interesting, and at the time, he was a different kind of superhero that we really didn't see much at the time. His psychology is really interesting to me.

Portugal suffered from many of the same issues. Ronaldo, cheating little **** that he is, is still really damn talented, but there's a gulf between him and the rest of the team. Their defence is poor. Their midfield, bar Carvalho (who's a solid DM imo) is average at best. And up front, outside of Ronaldo, they don't have any great players. Quaresma is talented as hell, but he's not the player he was 5-10 years ago either.
yep. and now spain is out. to tell you the truth, i have noticed a pattern. the teams that lost, which are argentina, portugal and spain, all played too much "pass the ball" game between each other. on the other hand, the other teams played very defensive and waited for the burst attacks. its basically turtle and then burst attacks. russia played less with that style but france and uruguai were all about that tactic. i think we will have some boring matches if eventually we will be left with turtles that are looking for burst attacks here and there.
