Spanish Superman more manly than American Superman, canon 👆It just seems strange, then. If it cannot harm, why exclaim in pain/get slashed? If it CAN harm, then we obviously see no blood, only a torn costume and chest hair.
That happens very often in comics, where characters are hurt, even knocked out, but not visibly damaged. Especially in the 60s-80s era in Marvel/DC.
Yeah but not normally with cutting weapons. Certainly rarer still in a comic published not in the 80s, or by DC, but by Wildstorm (who doesn't exactly shy away from violence), in 2004.
Regardless, in the scan I was talking about, Lion O (who isn't holding back) slashes Superman, he says HEY! (which, btw, to me isn't him exclaiming in pain, but surprise) AND there seems to be Kryptonite involved as well.
And after all that, we see his costume is slashed, but his chest isn't.
Moreover, this isn't some two penny sword. It's the Sword of Omens.
So I am still standing by my initial post, which was that it was interesting that he tanked a slash from Lion O.
Okay man, I was just commenting on your confusion or observation. Happens with cutting weapons too. He definitely feels it a lot more the second slash, so you'd think he'd be bleeding out or something but still doesn't break skin. 👆
I think Superman saying "Hey!" and automatically realizing it was magic was an indication that he actually felt it test his invulnerability because he wouldn't feel a normal sword otherwise. In Marvel, you can assume it's adamantium/vibranium/adamantine or whatever fictional metal you want, but in DC, the closest they have is Promethium which isn't even remotely as relevant. So I guess for Superman, if he can actually feel a blade, magic, kryptonite or kryptonian is doing the job.
He felt it (or at least, knew it had slashed his costume), but the hey is.....I mean, I scream worse when I've stubbed my toe, lol, then when one of the most famous magical swords in fiction has slashed me by it's most famous wielder who is 'giving no quarter'.
All in all, chalk it up as a pretty good durability feat for Supes I guess.
So Walter did die in immortal hulk #4. But when he was human he was stabbed in the back by a drunk (probably under control of someone to cause the human side of Sasquatch to disappear). Issue ends with Sasquatch turning and hulk are about to fight. So “evil” Sasquatch is born
Can’t see the fight lasting long in the next issue as I think he is supposed to fight the avengers as well
Kind of got the vibe they are making Walter hulks equal and potentially stronger from the text... but I doubt it

Anyway, should the stabbing part even work?

He was human when he was stabbed and he appeared to be refusing to transform into Sasquatch. Mostly likely the reason why he wanted to find banner for help as he was losing control in his beast form. In the end it didn’t matter as he transformed when Walter “diedâ€
