Oh, they did.

In fact, plenty of "darkseiders" argue it was just Desaad / avatar / other duplicate.

If Carver can't remember a comic he read three minutes ago how can you expect him to recall that?

😂

Lol

Nice scan Stiilt. Dont think people understand what downplayed mean. Hulk could just be THAT powerful. I wonder why people didnt say Darkseid was downplayed when Doomsday beat him.

Agreed.

Thor specifically said Hulk was stronger than he had ever seen or words to that effect. This ain't our normal Hulk.

It's no down play of Thor. Devil Hulk is really that badass.

I don't remember when but I remember Loki putting his face back together after getting stabbed in it by Wolverine. Was that outside of 616 or is that legitimate? If so is it Loki's Frost Giant heritage that allowed him to recover so quickly or his Asgardian nature?

I assumed Thor would recover relatively quickly - godly stamina and all.

He needs special help from Asgard to heal. Godly magics.

Go home, Thor. Who's going to drive him?

I second that earlier call to fire Thor. Or at least send him on a company retreat. He needs to go back to god-training camp.

This has never happened before. As a matter of fact, Asgardian bones are historically very dense, and tough to break even by immortal standards, especially Asgardian skulls. It's actually even been commented on by Hercules, Zeus, and the Champion of the Universe etc.

Thor isn't Wonder Woman. Doing any damage to his skeletal structure should be impossible. There's a reason why he can take a pounding from the Destroyer to Mangog etc. by the dozens without getting his head caved in. Even the Destroyer only broke the arm of a specifically weakened Thor, and the Hela curse during Simonson run was so potent because it struck Thor at one of his greatest strengths: damage soak.

It's a real slap in the face. This Devil Hulk could be a dozen times stronger than Thor, but need f*cking days to pound Thor in the face to give him a concussion. Not being able to heal by himself is an even bigger slap in the face in a post Jason-Aaron Thor where he basically has a healing factor. It's sad that the MCU is a more accurate portrayal of Thor's damage soak than a comic.

I have no problem with a stronger than ever Hulk possessed by the One Below All being able to stomp Thor. But Thor served no purpose in his appearance. If he was cut from the comic, what would change? He was there only to get stomped and embarrassed thoroughly. That's what I use as a good barometer of whether I'm being a fanboy Thorbag or justifiably critical. Hulk writers are weird. The ratio of Hulk/Thor appearances in respective books is like 20:1.

😂

Well you need a Worf, don't you.

Of the characters there, he's the only one who could naturally take a punch. Same way Iron Man served no purpose except to get ripped apart (again) in yet another (useless) Hulkbuster.

Ghost Rider was one-shotted for some reason. There's your Worf. And She-Hulk actually took a punch unharmed LOL.

There was no real narrative behind the scene man. It was purely to get Carver's d*ck hard.

Carver's dick grew 3 sizes that day

Is the new ghost rider even powerful? Has he done anything on Blaze's level? Doubt he is an effective worf.

And female characters no matter how powerful they get don't seem to be effective worfs either. They tend to serve better at garnering reader sympathy often by showing how evil the villain is for harming them.

He had a pretty impressive feat turning a celestial into a ghost “vechile” but overall...not really. I have his entire run

He’s not possessed by even a Spirit of vengeance but a serial killer satanist

Didn't he kill Starbrand?

I'm surprised Thor's head is still attached to his neck.

Hulk was clearly holding back.

Yeah he doesn't have the brand name recognition to be a Worf.

And like I posted earlier a few days ago, they'd never show Hulk pummeling a female and going full Savage on her. That's reserved for villains, not characters who might have a shot at redemption.

I can't believe how lopsided Hulk/Thor has become.

I guess this is what you get, for all those times people were screaming "C'mon, not a tie again!".

And while I like that, since it never made sense for them to be rough equals consider Hulk doesn't have constant strength, it's certain to get the group on the receiving end rather sad.

When is the last time Thor and surfer fought?

Marvel seems to have dissolved the Thor hulk rivalry.

Surfer should appear in Aaron's Avengers so he can floor the team and have a tough fight with Hulk. That'd be swell.
