Why do we need to know that Y character is so much faster than light? I think that's why I like Marvel more; for all their many, many faults, they don't put so much emphasis on trying to outdo one crazy feat with another and subsequently spoil the flow of the narrative.
I honestly don't take them seriously anymore, but I use them because I know the people I'm talking to don't have the same standard. Kind of like space cheese. Probably because speed is a dead subject at this point, since Flash/Superman have gotten so far in front that anything below is a statue.I'd rather somebody, I dunno, evacuate a building while another guy blinks, rather than "threw a punch in a femtosecond!'. The latter, taken literally, is so far above the first that it's ridiculous, but it doesn't feel right to have a statement be the be-all-end-all.
And this is coming from a Superman fan, who's operated in the entire spectrum of time frames - microsecond, nanosecond, picosecond, femto-second, attosecond...but I still like it when he outraces bullets from the other side of town.

You talking about this?:

So...yeah. The greatest ever 'stated' perception/reaction speed feat is coming from Kal.

How could you have missed that, Rage?

It's from Angela: Queen of Hel #4, don't know the context and don't care for it, but it was reposted here like a dozen times already, lol.
