What's with DC's obsession in trying to outdo its own characters with impossible degrees of seconds?
I'd rather somebody, I dunno, evacuate a building while another guy blinks, rather than "threw a punch in a femtosecond!'. The latter, taken literally, is so far above the first that it's ridiculous, but it doesn't feel right to have a statement be the be-all-end-all.
And this is coming from a Superman fan, who's operated in the entire spectrum of time frames - microsecond, nanosecond, picosecond, femto-second, attosecond...but I still like it when he outraces bullets from the other side of town.

Because the only real way to 'outdo' this is to have them start operating in planck time.

What happened to that scene Abhi brought up where Supes was about to read an entire universe's worth of data?
It's from the Superman Giant books that are published at Walmart, so not normal comic book stores.

I think so.
I remember a Kid Flash scene where he throws around either this, or zeptosecond, but still.

He's too busy practicing his catching...Anyways, I think Franklin Richards had a yocto second feat?
To put this into perspective, that's like somebody asking you how much you can lift. And you answer "1 pound. The entire Sun. Plenty to punch you out".
It's either just him randomly throwing small numbers around, or just another example of how writers can't differentiate between time frames.

He mentions being able to perceive/react by the femtosecond and attosecond, but even those are a slug's pace in comparison to yoctosecond perception.

But that's just him talking. Not quite the same as S1M doing... Regardless, Franklin is a bonafide universal power -- he *should* be capable of operating as fast(or slow) as he wants. /shrug

Hopefully h1 will deliver some proper calcs once he catches wind of this. 👆
If Superman moved/rotated his head just by 1 cm (0.4 inches) during his scan (and this is a very conservative estimate), his head would've moved at 30 000 000 000 000 times the speed of light during the scan.
At that speed, he would travel across the entire visible universe in 1 day.
