Somehow I don't think that's what Claremont was going for. Especially seeing as how the guy that had been alive for over a century, had gotten more tail than Tony Stark and probably knows all kinds of mad bedroom shit, couldn't steal Jean away from the guy that hadn't had a girlfriend before Jean, and let's be fair, isn't much of a catch in general.

You make it sound like childhood romance can’t last.

Logan as much as like him was an ass that just wanted a piece of the red bimbo. And pissing off Scott was just the extra icing.

In that triangle, Scott was the victim if we could assign victim hood to those 3. Jean should have grab Logan and toss him in the ocean, hold him there and say “your passes ends now!” She did none of those.

Good romance works when you know how to write decent romance. You don’t even need to be an expert. That whole triangle thing went for that long because it sells.
