Diana literally said she wasn't trying 😂

Does this look like not trying?

When blitzing diana could not even touch her.

yes it's not trying as she stated many times try talking to me. She isn't trying to do anything but get information out if Supergirl. To get into Supergirl's head:

Yes but neither did she have to take the hits.

she’s trying to defend herself in that panel; she jumps away. Scant panels after that, though, she just stands there and announces she won’t fight back.
It’s really stupid. Unless Diana is, like, ridiculously more powerful than Kara, which she isn’t in my opinion, making a punching bag of yourself for Supergirl is moronic.
It’s also ridiculously cliche. I’ve seen it a million times.

Not fighting back is one thing.

Getting smacked around is another. If a kid comes at me, I don't want to hurt them - but neither am I just going to stand around and let them take free shots at me.

Superman did the same to Shazam and Supergirl prior, and no one said anything when he got hit.

I bet people would call for your arrest and demonize you even for defending yourself.

Because people are assholes.

They'd find a DA or judge to side with them, too.

Not like she never hit kids before either.

She isn't Guy Gardner, who has psychological scarring from child abuse.

Superman lets everyone smack him around. He's like The Doctor: The minute he starts fighting back for real, you're usually ****ed.

But yes, discussion thread please.

Its like um pretty common stuff in comic books. The hero who takes hits rather than fight back much (or at all) is a timeless trope of the genre.
You wouldn’t just stand there. I wouldn’t just stand there. And it’s absolutely moronic for Wonder Woman to just stand there and thereby leave herself open to hits from Supergirl — chick is a beast I say, but that’s just the way it goes in the issue.
Let’s face it: the writing in superhero comics is usually pretty horrendous. There’s a reason why the general public thinks that reading comic books is silly and the medium’s typically shit writing is a large part of that as far as I’m concerned.
It took me years to admit it, but, yeah, the writing in one of my favorite forms of entertainment is more often than not pretty awful.
It’s better than I could do, of course, but that’s saying nothing at all.
That's true for all mediums though. Every market is overflowing with crap tbh.
