lol, coherent is not the word I would use.

Edit: Yes, I know this got stretched

😂

I honestly don’t know why DC went that route by merging everything together. It just made everything worse.

Flash run always directly referred Flashpoint and The Flash: Rebirth( Pre-Flashpoint)

Pre-Crisis and onward all is a coherent whole now

*coherent hole

To be honest, I don't think DC's ever had a coherent continuity since....well, forever. Even between COIE and Infinite Crisis, all characters had essentially multiple origins/retellings of various events.

It's just the way they roll. The "it all counts, don't think about it too much"

Oh, I agree. I just think the old "Pre and Post Crisis" type of thing was much simpler, and a far better divider.

And really, it's just a battleboards distinction. It doesn't matter at all to the general fan out there.

You guys pretend that marvel is any better with continuity

Noone would argue that Marvel is steaming pile of shit but Marvel never really had events that were supposed to place things in a proper order iirc. Definately not on the level of DC's Crisis events and similar shit.

Marvel does change the guard Everytime they have an event though

I'm not following this shit but I already admitted that Marvel's contuinity is trash but do you honestly want to compare the 1 or 2 events to the I dunno how many complete restarts DC had?

Even people who's been working at DC for decades don't know what "counts" anymore and what doesn't.

In the end, it's all about Batman. Superman doesn't sell books.

Forgot all about the Wellspring of Power.

Oh no, DC definitely does it way more. Just thought you were implying Marvel doesn't do system reboots.

The thing with DC is the Crisis's have kind of become defining point there. I think they just do it out of habit at this point.

Marvel goes the other route where everything is canon unless it's retconned. Which in some ways is better (Because even whacky Silver Age stuff from Thor counts), and in some ways worse (Everyone who isn't Comic Book Guy is priced out of in depth canon discussions).

Thought Songbird dispersed it after Zemo used both moonstones to absorb the entire well, and she somehow cracked two ridiculously powerful cosmic artifacts with a single note like they were so much crystal.

Which should have been impossible.

Oh yeah, Punisher is both gulf war and Afghanistan War veteran, Iron Man was injured in both Korean War and Afghanistan War, Thor (lol) has so many retcons done who knows which version pops up, is Don Blake a construct, human or just a floating head? Who is his mom? Freya, Freyja, Gaea or the cosmic turkey?

Pick any character in marvel, their continuity is ****ed beyond repair. It's just that marvel doesn't cares shit about it so the readers don't either.

Hulk is Hulk
