You've actually found Zop's fantasy.
'Oh my power ring will signal you, alright' he snickers to himself.

I was actually surprised Captain Cold is a civil engineer, I thought he didn't graduate from high school

Maybe he has a few different origins, like pretty much everyone in DC now?

Killer Croc is the best recent example of that, I guess.

Or maybe civil engineers in America don't need to graduate from HS 😂

Superman is so freakin' huge on that pic!

That was Hal's imagination, iirc.

He was remembering it wrong and was demonizing Supes, but quickly realized his little fantasy was a bit too hardcore.

Supes is a way bigger piece of shit in real life than the dream. Did probably 3k in damage leaving for literally no reason. What a ****ing *******.

That's a low estimate, if Hals broke ass had an apartment they would have kicked him out and charged him 10k. Then he would be on the streets and drugs willing himself green crackpipes or something. Superman needs to stop screwing up.

That's why they just rush civil engineers out.

Makes me think MA skills don't transfer at herald level

^ Heralds don't usually have to rely on skill. So heralds can possess such skill but if their inherent power suffices... skill is superfluous.

Having said that, that was a really good skill showing by Teth-Adam.

Right but my point is skill doesn't matter at all. Otherwise why not capitalize

It can matter between peers. But Mike Tyson in his prime didn't need to use every ounce of his skill to beat on a featherweight, y'know. Granted, nobody would ever put Mike Tyson in his prime against a featherweight. Which kind of proves the point.

On further consideration, your point remains despite my response.

Captain Marvel and Black Adam are peers in inherent power. Why would Teth-Adam ever ignore his fighting skill over Billy Batson in a fight while engaging in their Black Adam and Shazam identities? There's an argument that he would be too arrogant to use potent skill against a kid. But that could be legitimately countered that Teth-Adam would probably hate to lose to a kid more than hate having to rely on martial skill to defeat the kid.

It also boils down to most comic writers having never been in a fight before and it shows.

Most martial arts and the schools that teach them are complete bullshit and a scam.

Committing to violence and having experience with violence is far more important than knowing Rex Kwan Do or whatever.

^ On that notion, current Billy Batson has had down and dirty street fights, yeah? As an underdog too. Teth-Adam appears to only have mastered Dhritishastra while during his immortal Black Adam guise. As an immortal, you could argue he only did it as an amusement/hobby. Not because Black Adam ever really needed it. Which would help explain why he's never bothered to use it before on-panel as Black Adam. Teth's not been in a position where he thought he was forced to break it out or it was appropriate to do so.

Putting Batman in his place? That's a unique situation appropriate for Teth to break out Dhritishastra. Wouldn't explain not breaking it out against Ultraman, tho.

Either way, until we see more, Teth-Adam will use Dhritishastra in his mortal guise. He hasn't yet used it in his Black Adam guise yet that we can see. Whether or not there's valid logic behind it, that's what we've seen so far on-panel. So I can imagine Teth-Adam giving Vandal Savage the business. But I won't argue Black Adam would dismantle Shazam with pure martial skill. It just hasn't been borne out on-panel in that way yet.
