Well Brainiac was using a lot of red sun beams and Luthor was using a Kryptonite laser.
Personally I don't find it prudent to question alien technology. If an alien spaceship can tank Kryptonian attacks, then I accept that it's just that tough.
Same thing with that sniper rifle shot against Vulcan we were talking about before. Alien technology, we don't know how it works so inventing limits for it is absurd.

Where was he being shot by red sun beams? Can you show the scan bc that could be the reason why he was unable to stop that ship.
I agree, I think the ship could be tough also but he got stabbed up pretty bad and it wasnt stated if the knives that stabbed him up was>conventional knives. It could have been the impact that made the knives go through his hide but again, I am not denying what you just said.
Now I disagree with that sniper rifle incident. There was nothing indicating that the sniper rifle that was shot equals light speed. It could have been fast but light speed fast, NO.

I don't have the scan but anyone who's read the story can confirm it. All of his robots were equipped with red sun weapons.

Why not? It was a completely alien weapon which we know nothing of the mechanics of. It makes more sense to say it was than to say that either Vulcan's reaction speed just went down mysteriously or Gladiator underestimated him so much.

Ok, I thought you were saying "it does" go the speed of light because there is nothing suggesting that. I think that it has its advantages over earths rifle but we really dont know by how much.
Again, if you are saying that the rifle bullet was going at the speed of light, I am going to ask you the same questions you asked me, how do you know that it was going that fast.

Yes it can because Vulcan has FTL feats so it would be consistent.
