He is bad ay physical fights, actually let me rephrase that, he gets beaten physically a lot. Characters on the top tier levels of physical strength that engage Surfer on on a physical level end up beating him up.
Hell even black panther with all the dissadvantages was able to get enough leverage to restrain him.
I will love to see black panther pulling that one on Hulk or Thor
