It looks like he did save them, just not the villain.
It really doesn't.

Even if he did, not being able to save that dude is still a bad showing of his speed.
A bad showing of what speed? This is his speed. If this were a certifiable speedster, then sure. This would have been a bad showing. But as it is, there's nothing low about it.

Sentry catches a bullet fired point blank at a man's head. Thor can't catch the hand of a crook before he presses a button. From around the same distance away too.
Why would anybody think Thor is as fast as Sentry?

I thought it was a dead man's switch. What book is that from anyway?

Thor doesn't have Sentry's lv of speed, everybody knows that.

I was just checking it out, and it's from Thor - Heaven & Earth #2. The hostages were out of the building by that point, and it was just Thor and him.

.

true especially when characters like Capt, Wolverine, Spiderman ect. Have all done it.

I still of the opinion his combat speed is not on those characters level.

I feel like Thor wanted to give him a "choice" I mean I thought it was pretty apparent that he went out of his way to explain that through the whole astral projecting time traveling thing (by the way which was pretty cool).

He doesn't have to be a speedster to be near Wolverine or Cap's level in speed. Either of which would have had more than enough to save the guy.

It's a very very bad showing. However, Thor is slow as shit for his tier anyway.

That's what I surmised. Thanks.

True, I assumed he ment compared to the level certain fans pretend he at.

thor let the guy die

The exact opposite is explicitly stated in the second to last page.

what's with all the non-ownage in the "ownage" thread?

is it the "spoilage thread" now?

so i guess thor doesn't have superspeed?

He has definitive superspeed when it comes to sheer flight speed (ie. moving from Point A to Point B with Mjolnir), but outside of that it varies depending on the writer. Some times he's about peak human speed, other times far faster or far slower.

Did anybody post

Spoiler:
Captain Thunder being jobbed out in Flashpoint
yet?

Wolverine goes h2h with Iron Fist, and then Squirrel Girl.

I don't even want to imagine how many times the Wolverine fanboys will bring up those first pages from now on.

One thing's for sure. Batman would beat the shit out of Iron Fist.

God damn you, Bendis.

God damn you.

holy shit...squirrel girl

edit.
