dumbore faked the death, but WHY

Started by sammii2 pages

who said he died in book 4,nobody did ,he died in the 6th book now people are making presumptions about the 7th

what i don't understand is why did he freeze harry instead of just defeating Malfoy which he could of easily done. The only explanation could be that he wanted to die therefore Snape is not evil and was just doing what he was told to do.

EXACTLY.

Errr... IMHO

He didn't want to die... Nobody wants to die for a stupid reason...

He didn't defeat Malfoy because he knew that deep down... there was still hope he could change Draco's mind...

yep i agree

🤘 yeah!

lol dd id dead ,if he came back in the 7th book it would be to predicted ,and basically boaring ...........

but every 1 predicted he was going to die in book 6 😉

good point , but tats because jk had prevously said qa major character would die and it couldn,t be harry ron or hermione ,shat a good conclusion ppl cjame up with

And there are two other reasons you could predict he would die.
First lets look at DDs role in the book. He had two major purposes.
1. he told Harry everything he needed to know
2. he was a parent figure for Harry.
now you could tell he would die because
1. he told Harry everything
2. Harry has to face voldie alone.

there is no way that he would of risked that much on one person changing their mind if he thought he was still needed alive. He would have just hav defended himself unless he either wanted to die or already was.

yes but dd always believed in 2nd second chances ,and he was right to think he could turn Draco into the good side ,he nearly did until the death eaters interrupted, and he knew if harry was not immobilised then he had a chance of being killed ,and dd did not want that because harry has to go on to defeat voldemort

I think Snape killed him beacause Snape had made the unforgiving promise or something like that to Draco's Mom that he wouldn't let any harm come upon Draco.

And when Dumbledore was about to Harm Draco at the end, Snape had to interfere because he made the unforgivable promise to Draco mom that he wouldn't let anything happen to Draco, and he had to do something to Dumbledore because he knew that dumbledore was about to hurt or harm Draco.

He didn't think that he was "risking" anything because he wasn't aware that the death eaters were following Malfoy's trail...

Other than that... how can you say that he would not have risked that much on one person?
I still remember his line when he said to Harry...
"I don't care how many nameless and faceless people die... as long as you live..." more or less that's the thought of the line...

^^ He's willing to give up other wizards...

he either wanted to die or already was.

^^ ??

yep other wizards including himself , not 4 getting he knew he could turn draco 2 the good side which , as i say again he nearly did

people, get a grip, dumbledore didn't trick the wizarding world, he's dead. Stop dwelling on false hope....i swear to god, if i see one more of these n00bish threads about dumbledore. He needed to die so Harry could face voldemort. Accept it, embrace it. O.k? J.K said that when she kills a character, he's gone, meaning Dumbly is gone.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!
