Looks to me like he handled both Rogue and Wolverine easily.
Oh and from the time you're speaking of...he was kicking all their asses. He had actually fooled Warren into trying to fight him by offering a fake weakness but sadly the flying numbnuts couldn't hurt him at all. Neither could Logan's claws.

So...he ran away from people he's beaten and can't be harmed by. You have amazing logic.
