Iceman(with a little flight help from Storm) encases a giant mountain in Ice. Jean mentions how sometimes she finds herself wondering if he could freeze the whole world. The cold goes down to virtually absolute zero as well.

From steam to ice? Really? Hnh. I thought this was the first.

Ahh well, impressive nonetheless. And at least it looks like Carey plans to utilize and expand on Bobby's abilities. instead of just having him shoot ice beams like alot of people do.

Carey's X-Men is pretty nice. Better then Uncanny.

not nessarcarily from steam to ice, but from being disinegrated to ice, from ice to water and back to ice, from ice to water vapor and back to ice, from someone elses water in their body to his body. Although....I think I get it. In the X-men forever issues it hurt Iceman to change because his brain couldnt cope (though by the end he did it with no ill effects. I guess there gonna go back to he still doesnt understand his powers and thats why he "hurts" himself. I guess...but a regular writer who wants to use his abilities?!
