Yeah. The power issue seems to be affecting him again. At least it did in the early part of the issue.

I'm wondering if he'll overcome that and the issues are a precursor to him eventually being able to selectively armor?

Meh, I prefer my Colossus fully armored.

A cool feat is that when he tried to break open that safe, he knocked some metal strips off. And it was Vibranium, so he shouldn't have even been able to do that as it absorbs all energy directed at it.

Read issue 12. Colossus comments on how Domino could have easily used her thief skills to hack the safe. But the only way he knows how to open it is with physical force.

So he starts punching it and knocks a few pieces off, but doesn't break it down. Then Domino comes in and explains that the safe is Vibranium. And Vibranium absorbs energy directed at it. Colossus' punches impart kinetic energy, and the safe was just absorbing it. But he still hit with enough force to break off pieces of the safe.

Never saw it. Maybe somebody will post scans. He's snapped vibranium bonds once before while shackled to a pillar but I can't find those scans.

Are you guys reading the same comic I am? Colossus didn't even scratch the safe. As a matter of fact, Domino makes it explicitly clear that he could pound on it for a week to no avail. Where do you see him knocking pieces off?

I know Colossus is hurting for feats but common. 😬

The first scan has bits flying off of it, unless I'm mistaken.

Obviously I'm blind then. Which panel?

Edit: Are you talking about the strips near his fists? Looked like visual effects of his punches to me. I guess I can see how those could be strips of paint but Domino made it clear that Colossus couldn't damage it and the safe was still spotless.

The middle panel, that's the width of the panel.

Honestly, I'm not going to argue about it. Though why the "Colossus needs feats" line?

The guy does perfectly fine when a writer gives him attention, I've found.

He's also already destroyed vibranium shackles in the past, so him knocking off strips of metal isn't out of his range.

It looks like some kind of debris from the vault. BTW what happened after Colossus took down that Godzilla sized monster?

That hasn't happened yet. Next issue.

I'm leaning toward the Olympus guy. I think it's more the kinetic impact of his fists than the safe actually chipping away.

I'm still unable to post scans, but I can tell ya what happens. Forge and Nemesis are bickering about the best way to take out this massive creature that's stomping about. They really can't come to an agreement and as they're about to be killed Colossus is seen dive bombing from above Boomer and Domino. He smacks into it, drops it down and essentially kills the thing in one hit. Boom Boom cleans up the mess afterward as Colossus is covered in monster snot.

Cut to hope in the future and her shenanigans about how Cable's powers are evolving into precognition without the TO virus. Havok won't let him go, but the rest of X-force storm Avengers Mansion to break the guy out.

Seems like the next issue is going to be pretty fighty.

Hopefully Colossus gets another shot at Thor. Obviously he won't win but he needs to do better than he did last time.
