It's not what I think it's what was shown, even Thing has admitted Sasquatch is stronger, plus Ranark stated he is stronger than Thing as well.
Box III who is also class 85 stated he isn't half the strength of Sasquatch.
I take the handbooks as a guideline, as scans should outway what the handbooks state as they greatly contradict what is shown.

Dude Colossus has not had a 70 ton max for awhile.
Here is Colossus bio from the OHOTMU Deluxe Edition #3 in which he was still a teenager at the time. It says since he's still a teenager his strength as Colossus has not yet reached it's peak. Ofcourse he's not a teenager anymore:
