Ultimate Colossus, and Colossus Respect Thread

I don't honestly see how having his arms damaged by both WWH and several Nimrods are bad showings for him. *hasn't seen the Omega Sentienl instance yet*

I like the power upgrade as a means to an end in beating Worthynaut, but after it's all said and done. Colossus is not Juggernaut...Juggernaut is. Arms bent in WWH, Arm broken by Nimrod, and almost supremely damaged by Omega Sentinel....the writers are making what little stock he has drop tremendously.

He needs the kind of respect he got under people like Byrne and Whedon. It's like they have no idea how to write him.

Colossus doesn't have to be top tier strong to be liked, he's different than Hulk or Cain, he works in union w/ a team, making him overpowered, kind of kills the story for X-Men titles.

I don't think it's fair to call Logan unbeatable though. Yes, Logan is very hard to put down and is very skilled, but it can be done.

And is Bobby even still at Icegod-Omega levels anymore?

wwhulk power level was higher compare to normal savage hulk it's possible for him to break his arm base on his strangth well true its not good showings for colossus in that fight but not bad writing i wish the battle between those two should have at least last abit longer to test colossus strength more.

lol, if colossus keeps the power and x men sells go up ill be the first to say i told you so.

i really hope this is permanent, colossus would become my favorite character again i didnt like him anymore. matter of fact we was talking about this on another forum.

The fusion of Colossus uniform and Juggernaut's armor is nice though.

I would love to know what changed between you liking him before and now it's not like he was massively powerful before and then got depowered to what he is now

Translation you basically never liked that character to begin with it was all power level dependent.

Lawlz. Colossus has never gotten the amount of respect the big boys have -Claremont probably gave him the most respect- and even this boost is most likely temporary in the long run.

Five gets you ten, he saw a few good showings, got hooked but then realized those type of instances were very rare for Colossus because lets face it, he's a B level brick. And now that Namor is on the X-men, you can kiss any good strength showings away while he's in the comic.

I don't think a power up is a necessarily a good thing or even needed, just some direction being applied. He's constantly defined by either Shadowcat or his little sister in the modern age. But I guess some change is better than nothing. Gillen is a good writer, I trust he can make it work.

Outside of Whedon, that's pretty much true. He hasn't had many good writers since his return that would be willing to give him a bit of spotlight, and even when one did (Brubaker), he of course made him not as good as he probably should.
