You're a bunch of idiots.

atheists shouldn't be allowed to celebrate Xmas because it's about Christ and Religion.

easy, dude. i am in total agreement with you, but be a bit more tactful. i am listening to others and really taking in what they say and posting what i feel. calling people idiots is not gonna solve anything. we cant push our beliefs on them. we can, however, have a civil debate with them.

You should see the other things that He said.

As an atheist, I don't celebrate the religious aspect of Christmas, but I do celebrate, with my christian family, what the holiday represents: family, love, and spending time with your loved ones.

the holiday represents THE BIRTH OF CHRIST.... we have allowed our greed to seep in and we have gotten spoiled to the point that all we care about are the gifts.

It wasn't originally about the birth of christ, it was originally a pagan holiday!

I don't think it's dumb for an atheist to celebrate Christmas. Hell, I'm sure there are LOTS of atheists that do celebrate Christmas and I'm sure they don't celebrate it for the "birth of Jesus Christ". Nowadays it's a holiday for friends family and lots and lots of presents and food. Most people, even some christians, may not celebrate it for "Jesus' birth" but simply to get their kids and whoever whatever the hell they want and make them happy. I'm almost positive that 50% of atheist parents put "from Santa" on gifts for their children, even though they don't beleive doesn't mean their kids can't beleive.

The funny thing is, I have 3 families living at my house, My Family is jewish and the other two are christian and i'm the only one that's atheist.

Since when do pagan Holidays have the word Christmas in it?

Christmas should really be the birth of the PERSIAN son of God, Mithra. Whose birthday really was the 25th of the last month. He was born 1000 years before Jesus was even thought up.

Early christians took that holiday and changed it to the birth of christ to get Pagan's to join the church.

Learn your facts before you go off saying something.

Even though I am atheist, I am courious on what others belive in. I read a comic called, Sinergy. It was literallly a journy through Hell.

I thought it was very intresting.
