Kratos vs Dante

-Blocked an actual lightning bolt [not orb] in an non optional QTE. There is more than just this feat as well, so fail. Mach 5-6 is not even close to making Kratos worry.

-Pretty weak/shitty attempt at refuting. Trying to argue with clear cut visuals, positing that interpretation of external works can apply to this one. Bottom line: hands are made of muscle, skin, bone as is the rest of the body.absorbs shock better than the ribcage per say, but if one's palms completely tank a knife, there is no reason one's ribs would be noticeably affected by the same.

-Except he has several instances of tanking great heat or agents that would burn the skin. A couple with cold as well, but more on that one later after Ghost of Sparta comes out.

O.o how can a question be a fail? Got a clip of blocking it? Well thats nice cos Dante is well above Mach 5-6.

Oh you are an angry lil fellow. That'd be the same as me saying cos Dante can do that in a gameplay animation scene he can resist a blade too. Asked ages ago with no answer; What about when Zeus stabbed him in 2, or the lacerations he got when the Rhodes fell on him? Only his god powers were taken when he was stabbed so he was basically how GoW3 Kratos is now [I think] and had those powers on impact with Rhodes.
Edit: Or a better same game example is Zeus who isnt damaged when he grabs the BoO with his hands but can be stabbed through the body quite easily. There we go.

Im guessing that the most heat he's taken is <lava. Will hold till then.

Kratos lost his God powers as soon as he entered Rhodes, it was his God powers that brought the statue to life in the first place. Pretty much any power he had left, Godly and/or otherwise, was lost when he drained it in the Blade of Olympus by hand. Otherwise, Kratos, more or less by nature, has some level of God powers, being a demigod. The fact that he was able to fight on even terms with, and eventually overpower Zeus when he faled to in the previous game speaks for itself that he was more powerful in that battle than his first one.

Aso, on the subject of his heat resistance: Linked for GoS spoilers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe-Z5daMB-k

At 5:08 Kratos scales a wall to escape the rising lava, only to get blown miles out of an erupting volcano, crash into Atlantis, and survive without a scratch.

There are also vids of all the cutscenes and the bosses elsewhere, including the final boss,

Spoiler:
Thanatos, whom Kratos fights alongside his brother, Deimos.

I was compiling a massive post to address BR, but I got halfway through and just said **** it. Still have it saved though.

And he landed in Crete I believe, not Atlantis.

Given that the narrator very clearly stated "Atlantis was sinking", I kind of doubt that. Unless Crete ant Atlantis are close to eachother or something.

It says Island of Crete as you start walking. I believe Atlantis was on the other side. All I know is that Crete is close to Atlantis.

^ Yeah. He was blown from Atlantis to Crete.

Also, I too had saved a massive typed up post, as a reply to one of BR's old replies to me in this thread. >__> Just lost interest in arguing in this thread. Will just go in circles.

Been waiting for that to be answered for months now, thanks. Is a good one but its still below hellfire.

Kinda feeling special for putting off two people >__>

Still stand by the fact that Kratos can be pierced as shown with Zeus blocking the BoO with his hands.

Not you personally (this sounds like I'm complimenting you >__>😉, just the fact that this will repeatedly be argued in circles, as are most debates here.

He can be pierced, just not by Dante. 313

The volcano explosion isn't even Kratos' best heat tanking. The best part of that feat is the pure kinetic energy combined with the heat. I mean, its a phucking volcano, erupting, while he's inside of it. Kratos' durability is off the charts.

And BR you didn't put me off, your points are easy enough to answer, I just chose not to because I'm lazy these days. And Uni is a biatch right now.

WOW I DONT SEE WHY DANTE IS WINNIN kratos is obviously gonna beat him he is like the same species as chuck norris, bruce lee and mastercheif imean it was them tht defeated the sayans i mean tthts the only logical reason the sayans died out [ HAVE U sEEEN SPIRIT BOMB AND GOKUS ULTIMATE TRANSFORMATION] imean its pretty common sense if u played god of war and dantes inferno sure dante survived hell but kratos came back from hell like 5 and 6 times he can go another round in lucifers place

Where the hell did DBZ suddenly come from?

Krillin kills everyone you just mentioned.

Wrong Dante anyways.

Kratos beats either one, granted.

Are we using Max dante vs normal Kratos for this fight? Because I can't seem to recall Dante ever using quicksilver in DMC4. I mean if it's true Dante could use Quicksilver and Yamato to slice human size Kratos up from afar.

Yet at the end of God of war when fighting Ares, Kratos was as tall as mountains and His instantaneous Poseidon's rage was clearly large enough to nuke Athens 3 times over. I don't believe mach 10 (I'm assuming that's Dante max speed) is fast enough to dodge that attack. He was also swinging swords the size of bridges and is strong enough to survive 4 mountains getting slammed into him at once.

If we use max Dante vs Kratos, IMO yeah Dante should win most of the time through cheap hax methods unless Kratos has someway of bypassing quicksilver and Yamato, which has the properties to cut through ghost beowulf.

But Max Kratos vs Max Dante? With a mini unbreakable statue of the fates at hand? I'm pretty sure he could destroy the DMC verse with some effort.

Also isn't that waterhorse that poseidon summons super fast? I mean Mount Olympus dwarfed 1500 foot tall titans and that thing ascended the entire thing in a matter of frames. It took dante several minutes to run down a tower at full speed.

What's even funnier about his tower speed feat is that earlier in the game, a piece of a dead Hell Vanguard falls down from the top of the tower to the bottom in roughly 2 to 3 seconds.

Dante is faster and stronger.
Kratos is only strong.
So Dante wins.

Dante isn't even half as strong as Kratos, and his speed is not an issue based on Kratos' prior experiences against higher speeds. He isnt beating Kratos.

Kratos would win. Dante might be stronger, but Dante couldn't give a damn =\

I think surviving the volcano eruption>>>>>>Surviving cronos smack. Even the aftershocks destroyed a city.

Don't volcanic eruption usually have the explosive power of 50 nukes? And if I understand correctly this was the minoan eruption which was greater than krakatoa.

If in regards to sheer physical strength, then not by a longshot.
