Hmmm........yeah, you're right. I was used to Maverick's old golden look. Yep, that's the cover for the Weapon X: Days of Future Now issue #3 comic.
It's all right, but you owe me $7.25 for doubting me

His top strength was unknown, it all depended on how much he absorbed
all bow to Roland of Gilead. about halfway down the first page i was going to make a post stating the answer was in fact the last gunslinger. whokid beat me to it though...
he's basically an enhanced human...his stamina, senses (especially sight), tactical strategy, and above all is REFLEXES are beyond human.
taking into acount is MILLENIUM of combat experience, i'd take roland against any of the jokers mentioned.
this gives me an idea...
I don't know much about the Punisher or the other guys, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me that ANYONE mentioned so far could beat Roland Deschain of Gilead and of the line of Eld, the last gunslinger "in a world that has moved on."
Roland cannot be beaten in a 1-on-1 draw, so in a fair fight I don't see how he could be beaten considering that he can draw his gun, shoot (and he never misses) 3 times before his opponent even got his gun halfway out of its strap.
I suppose it's also important to consider the fact that Roland has faced the devil himself, the anti-christ, one of the most powerful wizards of all time, etc.

Roland is awsome but he'd still lose to the SaintOfKillers.

Healing factor, and two guns that never miss.Hell, he might be able to fire his guns in his holsters, and still hit him...
So SOK is capable of not even aiming his guns from the Holsters and firing shots that lock onto Roland, even though SOK already has 3 or Roland's bullets in his Skull? If that's true, then Roland certainly has no chance; on the other hand, to best the Devil and the Anti-Christ...

Because Saint of Killers is completely impervious to harm. The bullets would just bounce off of him.
Now that is a much better arguement, and one that is almost checkmate. If this is true, Roland doesn't have much of a chance...but he does have some hope and I think you can imagine and understand that Satan was just a tiny bit invulnerable to bullets as well.
To be honest though, I thought we were talking about two humans here. Roland is such a bad*ss because he's 100% human, as is the Punisher. So I just assumed that SOK was too lol, but if he's not...does he really belong in this debate?
Maybe I should rephrase a question of mine: Who is the biggest bad*ss HUMAN character that anyone thinks can beat Roland Deschain of Gilead one-on-one in a standoff?
