No , the writer was actually questioned on this and he stated something along the liens of "It's a light-hearted moment showing the Old man (SOK) finally having some rest, not him becoming god"

He was a bad*** back in the day,i used to collect everything with this guy,guns swords daggers,polearms this guy used everything and was a great character... i think somewhere in my comic boxes i might have almost every appearence

Again, Roland of Gilead had guns that take SKILL. Six-shooters with blue-grey steel and sandalwood grips that didn't automatically just hit the intended target...they took skill to handle, and nobody in the world had guns quite like him.

Frank Castle may be a bad*ss, but he's a slower bad*ass than Roland Deschain of Gilead, the last Gunslinger.
