He also estimates the shark at 11 feet and 1000 pounds, which wolverine8888 and Creshosk conveniently looked up in the Wolvie vs. Spiderman thread. Like 200 pages ago. If the numbers weren't almost exact, I might give benefit of the doubt. You can just get your name changed... Whirly's done it what, 10,000 times now?
And as to Wolverine's strength... The dumpster's weight is something figured out through research. Most people wouldn't just know exactly how much a dumpster weighs. The panel was very small, and basically insignificant to the rest of the story. It jsut seems like too much of a stretch.
The elevator is impressive, but it's still being blown out of proportion when you actually suggest that Wolverine was curling it. He held it there for a second or two, which is a good feat on its own. Saying he can curl it, which is something equivalent to 3 tons, or thereabouts, is just plain silly, because even the REST of his strength feats don't put him anywhere near that level.
The shark is basically the same as the dumpster... How big was it? No one really knows. Wolverine, being just over 5 feet tall, was bent over a good amount and still covered more than half of the shark. So who's to say it wasn't 7 feet long? 6? 20? It's an impressive feat, but really proves nothing, since we have absolutely no idea how much the shark weighed, when it could conceivably be a weight that a "normal" peak human could handle.
As to punching people through concrete... Batman busts up brick chimneys with a punch, kicks through tree trunks, and tears metal pipes from the ground. He's at least 3 tons, right?
