You can lose your virginity so to speak without having sex, horse back riding is one way, and there are others, so them having sex before marriage might not always be the case, yet they are sentenced to die for it.
If this story is true, it's a disgusting world some people have to live and die in when a women is sentenced to death for defending herself and her niece against a would be rapist.

The teenage girl, however, broke down in tears in court as she explained that she had no intention of killing the man but was merely defending herself and her younger niece from rape, the report said.
The court, however, issued on Tuesday a sentence for Nazanin to be hanged to death.
Last week, a court in the city of Rasht, northern Iran, sentenced Delara Darabi to death by hanging charged with murder when she was 17 years old. Darabi has denied the charges.
In August 2004, Iran’s Islamic penal system sentenced a 16-year-old girl, Atefeh Rajabi, to death after a sham trial, in which she was accused of committing “acts incompatible with chastity”.
The teenage victim had no access to a lawyer at any stage and efforts by her family to retain one were to no avail. Atefeh personally defended herself and told the religious judge that he should punish those who force women into adultery, not the victims. She was eventually hanged in public in the northern town of Neka.
This needs to stop .... can it stop without westren intervention, i wonder ?

I won't pretend that I'm not against feminists or that I don't believe in a world where men are the pants-wearers, but c'mon, this is insane. You kill the victim instead of the attacker? Because she was involved in sexual stuff even though it was against her will? I think it was well-proven that she was against it when she KILLED A MAN to avoid being involved in that sexual stuff. In one way it makes me glad that America is likely going to blow up that place next (of course I'm not happy about it otherwise because it shows that America thinks it has the right to police the world, stick its nose in other countries' business and interfere with culture and traditions that have lived for many centuries, but I didn't come here to talk about that).

Noticed how negatively that site portrays Iran ? There is not one single article that 'focuses' on anything other than hangings, shootings, People' rights being walked over, Iraqis training in Iran by Iranians, Nuclear this and Nuclear that.

This piece of news has been reported in the same way in news outlets from Canada to Egypt, so I think attacking it as biased is a dead end- a lot of people have concerns ocer this one.
Saying other countries did worse in the past is a. no excuse and b. irrelevant- morals on a GLOBAL scale have moved on since then and this is plain immorality in a situation where it need not exist except for the deliberate efforts of evil people to keep parts of the Middle East this way.

If I wanted war (which I don't) I would use this as an example of the dictatorship in Iran and the evil the rulers do to their people. Is it not a matter of humanitarian principle that we should intervene?
