I don't know about that. I'd say that villains like the Green Goblin & Doc Ock are just as popular as Venom is. Trust me, I've seen A LOT of Goblin & Ock fans around the net.

Back to the original topic, I want to see the Lizard be the only villain in the film if Venom doesn't return. Sam could set it up like it was in TAS.

Lizard I think we are getting in no.4 as for Venom I dunno

The Lizard is going to really need to look real. If he's in SM-4, they are more than likely going to have to put as much work in on the Lizard as they did with the Sandman, if not more. All in all, if they come up with something that looks like it belongs in a 1960's Spidey movie, I'm going to be mad as hell.

The Lizard will be great CGI effects.

Hopefully.....

they did good with the effect in spider-man 3, maybe when they make spider-man 4 we'll be seeing better graphics considering that they wanna make Lizard look real rather than some guy in a giant green rubber costume.

You can't be sure of anything like this because you're not part of the crew that is going to make Spider-Man 4. Anyway, by then technology should be a little more advanced so we should be getting a giant lizard that looks like it could live in the real world.

I am sure things will be more advanced, I do hope we get to see Venom again....introduce some more new villains

I don't want Venom to return in Spider-Man 4. Raimi should drop hints that he's returning in Spider-Man 5 & have the Lizard be the main villain or have the Lizard & Kraven be the main villains with Kraven trying to hunt down both the Lizard & Spider-Man. Then, at the end of SM-4, we see something Venom related.

I get the feeling we'll be seeing carnage in 5

It was confirmed that Venom was going to return in Spiderman 4. Hopefully, there won't be any last minute changes...
