Well it depends how they wanna explain his return

It'd have to be a good return & not just "HE'S BACK, HE'S BACK!" & Carnage should be introduced & the villain for the first film.

I just wonder if they can make a good return for him after the way he was killed...if he was killed that is

To be honest they could make the movie completely separate from Spider-Man 3.

Well I think thats what they do in most spin offs but some times there are some tie in's...plus they need to include spider-man 3 if they wish to explain him still being alive otherwise it would just be confusing

It would be better if the Venom spin-off is separate from the events of Spiderman 3. Tophar Grace said that he didn't want to do the Venom movie because he think it will be unsuccessful. It wouldn't be right if a completely different person portrays Venom in the spin-off movie yet it takes place right after the events of Spiderman 3 in which Topher was Venom. The only way that a different guy can portray Venom without causing any confusion would be if doesn't follow after Spiderman 3.

No she didn't die, remember at the end she left something for DD so that he would know she was still alive...I think it was her necklace...with Venom there was no clue to prove he was alive or anything that would make us think he could return

We can't even be sure the symbiote was completely destroyed, or if at all. He could have slipped away or something.

There's not definite proof.

Since Venom has a spin-off movie coming, I doubt we'll even see anything related to symbiotes in Spider-Man 4.
