Spider-Man 4 Discussion

I think if the current cast can't return then it'd be best to start off the new cast in a whole different storyline. Not telling the story from the beginning again but just focusing on a completely different part of Spider Man's life where he's already situated and everything. Maybe a much older adult Spider Man. Could work.

Thing is I don't really them during some sort of reboot. There is no need for that. With a new cast or same cast, all that is needed is a good storyline and good villains. As well as a good budget. Spiderman 4 will rock and be spawn many more Spiderman movies.

But yeah, I think it'd be appropriate to start off at a different point in his life, if not a completely different Universe, if they were to get a new cast. Would make sense and cause less confusion I think if it was marketed appropriately.

Although, non comic book fans wouldn't really get the "whole different Universe" thing.

If they did go the route of a reboot which is highly unlikely at this singular point in time, before they frakk up everything, 1st. try to bring back the same actors/actresses. 2nd. Develop one helluva script. 3rd. Looks of action. I don't feel a reboot is in need at this point. As for the differnt universe theory there isn't a need for that either since people know the true Spiderman is and not some different alternate version. More information is truly needed I will find some when the time comes.

It would be weird not having Tobey as Spiderman.

Then again, it might be better...

I actually just watched my Spider Man 3 DVD for the second time since I've had it.

Wasn't as exciting as I remembered.

I've watched my Spiderman 3 dvd a few times. Very, very exciting as I remembered it. As for Spiderman 4 I'm very positive that there is a very strong chance that Tobey and the gang will return for more Spiderman adventures. I also feel that whethert its the same cast or a brand new one, I doubt they will go the Ultimate Spiderman way because that makes absolutely no sense considering the first three films. Also of note, James Vanderbilt said that once the writer's strike is finally over(I think real soon) then he will get to work on writing Spiderman 4

Well that would be the point if an Alternate Universe. New Cast, New Story.....therefore disregarding the first 3 films.

I also think that there is no need to distance themselves from any of the first three movies. These three movies have made Sony Pictures well over &3 billion dollars. Changing the cast, unless it is warranted may not bring in any money. Its the same with using the Ultimate Spiderman storyline, not everyone reads it(I do of course, as I have every Spiderman comic book), so that being said it may not work and then Sony will have a flop on their hands and a whole lot of irate Spiderman fans. I believe the villains for the next film will be The Lizared and perhaps Mysterio.

You say things as if you know what will happen if so and so happens.

It MAY not doing as good, It actually MAY do as good if not better. No one knows. Just throwing ideas out there as everyone else. Not facts......ideas.

If they get a new cast, I THINK that they should do the whole ALTERNATE UNIVERSE thing. Sounds interesting as some have said.

Let's not lose focus and pick apart insignificant matter.

Sidenote: Not everyone read anything concerning Spider-Man before the first movie either. Doesn't matter.

I believe that a new cast may work, but then again may not work. Anyone remember Batman and Robin. Also the alternate Spiderman universe I believe will not work here. Getting people to buy into it will be hard work whether or not people like it or not. If you stay with the same cast and I should know something about that than you will have tremendous success. It's my opinion, I know a whole lot about these Spiderman movies because I personally know people that work at Sony Pictures, so I have much better insight on the matter. Also I think that a simple budget, not alike on Spidey will help immensely and most likely successfuly. Spiderman 4 will happen and I look foward to some announcements regarding it.

No one is debating whether they SHOULD or SHOULD NOT keep the same cast so I wish you'd stop repeating that over and over and over again as if it's being discussed.

And as I said. You are no higher than anyone here when it comes to Spider-Man Movie Knowledge. I don't care if your mother created Spider-Man. Get off of your high horse and pay attention to what's actually being said.

I'll repeat again. IF FOR SOME REASON THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO GET THE ORIGINAL CAST RETURN (NOT THAT THEY SHOULDN'T GET THE ORIGINAL CAST) BUT IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO, MEANING THEY CAN'T, MEANING SOMETHING HAPPENS AND IT'S OUT OF THEIR HANDS, THEN I THINK (I THINK) THEY SHOULD GO THE ALTERNATE UNIVERSE ROUTE.

I'M NOT SAYING THIS WILL WORK, I DON'T KNOW THIS, NEITHER DO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE, I'M JUST SAYING THAT I (I) LIKE THE IDEA.

Who could step into the original casts shoes...who could put on the mask and tights and when something is changed in the script go 'This wasn't in the script...RAIMI!!!!'
