I admit that I wanted Peter to hook up with Gwen in the 3rd movie, but I just don't think a Spiderman movie would make sense without Mary Jane. I could be wrong, though.Do you dislike Mary Jane's character or her actor (Kirsten Dunst)?
Oh no, I really like the MJ character in the comic books. I just hated her portrayl in the movies. Movie MJ is a very insecure and selfish person. She uses other men and then breaks their hearts to satisfy her own insecurities. Even when she finally gets with Peter she still ends up kissing Harry.
She really is a horrible person. I don't know what Peter sees in her.

Well, I don't blame you. Although I don't approve of that action, I didn't feel sorry for her at all.If anything, she deserved it.
She deserved more, she's all selfish and a total b!tch, when Pete was trying to make her feel better he tried to use the criticism he got as an example and she's all like 'This isn't about you, it's about me' you try and help and thats what you get, then he had to go because of a bank robbery and she acts like he doesn't care, well why the hell should he, it's either save some people from possibly getting hurt/killed and stop a bank from losing it's money or stay there and comfort a girl who can't take rejection from a show because she's obviously can't sing. Instead of Pete standing there looking like a complete goon, he shoulda said 'Hey...that felt good!' then gone over and beat her abit more whilst people applaud him. I to don't condone hitting a woman but she did have it coming. I woulda gone for Gwen myself, she's a nice girl and way prettier than Kirsten who looks like she hit in the face with a frying pan.
As it seems everyone is talking about Kirsten Dunst as MJ I have decided to give my two cents on her. I did not like her at all as MJ, its the writers fault and its her fault to. She seems like a stuck up tart in all her interviews saying stuff like "Look at me you think I am going to read a Spider-Man comic?" And she was even worse as MJ you do begin to wonder what Pete sees in her, MJ from the comics is a very strong woman and the way the writers wrote her she did not come across like this at all particularly in Spider-Man 3, she is upset by loads of reviews in movie 3 but the only thing that has truly frightened her in the comics was Venom in his first appearance. And still she remains strong throughout the first Venom arc, even trying to cheer Peter up at one point. I still think they should have introduced Gwen from the beginning she was played perfectly by Bryce Dallas Howard in Spider-Man 3 despite the limited screen time. So thats my two cents as on Kirsten Dunst as MJ, a stuck up, no caring jump from one boy to the next, girl in the movie and a idiot in real life also.
